Courtney Porter

About

As a twenty- six year veteran of the educational system, Courtney Porter, MSW, M.Ed, LSSW, has taught in many settings including;  public schools, nonprofits, and in the Head Start/Early Head Start program. For the past thirteen years, she has served as the School Social Worker, McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison, and DCYF Point of Contact for the Claremont School District. Ms.Porter is passionate about youth mental health and believes that every student deserves a safe space to feel heard, valued, and supported. As the President of the New Hampshire School Social Workers Association, Ms.Porter advocates for students and families all over the state. She collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, and families to remove barriers to learning and create a safe, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Guided by a strengths-based perspective, she is committed to empowering students to develop the resilience and coping skills necessary for lifelong success. In her hometown of Claremont, NH, Ms. Porter is a the Chair of  the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce and is the Esteemed Loyal Knight at The Claremont  Elks Lodge #879. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
