Learning Objectives:

1. Apply family-centered engagement strategies informed by parents and caregivers of students with disabilities to build authentic partnerships that strengthen student outcomes across all school settings. 
2. Demonstrate effective advocacy for diverse student needs by recognizing barriers to access, leveraging resources across general and special education, and using your voice to promote equity for students with and without identified disabilities. 
3. Identify how to integrate disability perspective and self-advocacy principles into universal interventions, crisis response, and student support services to enhance school-wide inclusive practices.

School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA), provider #1789, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 07/27/2023– 07/27/2026. Social workers receive 1.0 continuing education credits upon successful completion of this course.
