National Model 2.0 (Part 3 of 4):Reflecting on the Challenges and Opportunities in our Social-Political Contexts

Webinar Description: This presentation reflects on the changeschallenges, and lived experiences in the current context of school social work practice. It explores how and why certain identity markers have evolved from empowerment tools to subjects of intense scrutiny. It examines the intended purpose of school social work practice through the lens of the updated School Social Work practice model. It also offers insights through lived experiences into the resolution of the challenges that shape our work in schools as we thoughtfully reflect on how to renew our commitment to the fundamental values of respect, dignity, equity, and social justice.

Learning Goals:

1. Participants will recognize the social-political challenges experienced within the school social work profession.
