This webinar (1 hour Live Webinar, Synchronous Distance Learning) will provide school social workers with tools and strategies for helping teachers and school leaders avoid suspending students for behaviors labeled as “disobedience,” “defiance,” or “disruptive.” Suspensions for these behaviors drive persistent racial discipline disparities. The approaches presented are evidence-based, feasible, and can be adapted to meet the needs of specific school contexts.
