Webinar-Youth Help-Seeking Around Mental Health: Using Data to Improve Tier 1 Mental Health Education

1. Participants will recognize the latest data regarding young people’s ability to identify trusted adults and understand where they are comfortable speaking with a trusted adult.
2. Participants will implement and apply recommendations in their own classrooms and schools to improve student help-seeking and program outcomes.
3. Participants will discover educational programs and resources (for students, educators, and parents) focused on mental health, as well as access to a data center to leverage local school or district-level data.

Speaker: Shantal Saldaña, MAIOP (she/her)

Shantal Saldaña is the Manager of School Outreach at Erika’s Lighthouse. She has a Masters in Psychology and has worked in the nonprofit and education sector for the last 12 years. Shantal is passionate about giving families, children and school professionals across the country the tools they need to take charge of their mental health. Her goal is to spread awareness, normalize mental health conversations to end stigma and create safe environments for all.

Certificates will be emailed to participants upon successful completion of the webinar and completion of the course evaluation. Participants must stay the entire length of the webinar and complete the evaluation to receive credit. No assignments will be required for this course.
